We are committed
to our employee’s long term success. When the employees are successful only then is the company successful. Many of our employees have been with Stevens Transportation for longer than 20 years; and we continue to work hard to create a stable employment environment for our current and future employees. You have heard the phrase “it’s only business, nothing personal”? Well we don’t believe that at Stevens Transportation. It is personal and we strive to treat you like we would want to be treated.
Stevens Trucking was founded in 1944, in Delano California by Gus Stevens with 5 trucks and a dream to make a difference in the transportation of agricultural commodities.
Stevens Transportation Inc. recognizes the value of giving back to our community through active participation with individuals, businesses, and public agencies. We are an active member of the local Chamber of Commerce while assisting other organizations that have captured a vision to support the diverse population that makes Bakersfield such a great place to live. We are active in providing logistics for the Golden Empire Gleaners, donating time and support to The Bridge Bible Church in providing meals to families in need through their “Love For Thanksgiving” distribution program. This, along with our involvement with the Mission of Kern County, the Bakersfield Symphony Orchestra and sponsoring programs in our local schools, helps us to recognize the pulse of our community and to partner with many great organizations and programs offering help and hope to our varied residents.
Providing equipment and transportation to help the Love for Thanksgiving organization furnish thousands of meals to the needy each Thanksgiving.
Providing equipment and transportation in support of the Bakersfield Symphony Orchestra to help them accomplish their mission to provide musical education for the young people of Kern County.
Providing transportation to move donated fresh vegetables from providers to the Golden Empire Gleaners for distribution to the needy members of our community.” Feeding the needy is one of the most basic things that we as a community can do for each other.
